We’re a family-run business with roots in Central Europe and a passion for sharing the food we grew up with. What started as a small shop to serve our local community has grown into a well-known brand offering traditional products, fresh bakery, and UK-wide delivery — while still keeping that personal touch and commitment to quality.

Our Story

We founded Tatry out of a simple but powerful idea: to bring the flavours of home to people living far from it. Like many of our customers, we missed the tastes and traditions of Slovakia, Czechia, and Hungary — from classic sausages and bryndza to fresh rolls, kifli, and sourdough bread. So we started sourcing the best products, building partnerships with trusted suppliers, and baking some items ourselves.

Over time, we’ve grown our offering, opened two shops, and launched an online store to serve customers across the UK.

We carefully select traditional goods from Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Hungary — from everyday groceries to hard-to-find favourites.

🍞 In-House Bakery
We bake fresh rohlíky (kifli), sourdough breads, and other traditional rolls in our own bakery. These are available online and in-store, always fresh and packed with care.

🍰 Handmade Cakes & Street Food – In Store Only
If you visit our shop, you’ll find fresh cream cakes, chimney cakes (trdelník), lángoš, and more — made daily by hand. These delicate items are available in-store only, to preserve their freshness.

🚚 Fast, Safe Delivery Across the UK
We use DPD Next Day Delivery, and pack chilled goods in thermal bags with frozen gel packs to ensure they arrive fresh and safe.
